Special Notice
You will have noticed that our book catalogue has not changed during the current year. For that we owe you an explanation:
Arising out of the research on Martin Nordegg that began with the writing of his biography, we have become involved in the project of rescue and restoration of the synagogue in Reichenbach / Dzierżoniów that was built in the year 1875 under the leadership of Martin Nordegg's father Moritz Cohn, who was the rabbi of the Reichenbach congregation between 1859 and 1890.
Due to the courage of a citizen of Reichenbach and the support of a few others, the synagogue escaped the wrath and destruction of the Nazis. After the war, the synagogue even served a large Jewish congregation for a few years. But then, the building remained unused and abandoned for many years and fell into disrepair.
We are both working hard as members of the Fundacja Beiteinu Chaj - 2004 (Foundation Our House Lives On - 2004), the foundation that has been raising funds and restoring the synagogue. This has been a full-time job for both of us since the summer of 2008.
We can say, that a book will be part of our work with the foundation. You can read about this planned publication and about the activities and objectives of the foundation in our website

Thank you for your interest. Please stay in touch and visit our foundation website that is continually updated.
